Pontarddulais Comprehensive School was buzzing with excitement this week as pupils explored a vibrant Careers Fair designed to broaden horizons and spark ambition. The event was organised in partnership with Careers Wales, whose Business Engagement Advisor worked closely with the school to bring a wide range of employers and education providers together.
Learners had the opportunity to meet professionals from construction, health and social care, digital industries, and legal services. Each representative shared valuable insights into their field, discussing training routes, day-to-day responsibilities, and the skills needed to succeed. The diversity of sectors ensured that every pupil could find something that piqued their interest.
Gower College Swansea was also in attendance, offering guidance on post-16 pathways, apprenticeships, and further education options. Their advice helped students make clear links between school, college, and future career opportunities.
Staff praised the event for opening learners’ eyes to the many possibilities ahead. By engaging directly with employers and experts, pupils were able to build confidence, ask meaningful questions, and begin shaping their aspirations.
