Following a very successful trip to Y Storfa earlier this term, pupils from Ysgol Calon Lân (Ty Dyfatty campus) continue to learn about the world of construction, this time with carpenters. In partnership with Careers Wales, Kier Group plc and Ian Williams Carpentry Ltd., pupils were able to construct some garden planters with the help of Jamie Murphy and apprentice Dion Hanly. Special thanks to both for designing wheelchair friendly planters.
Pupils were introduced to skills needed for work such as working together to complete a task, following health and safety directions and the importance of using PPE.

Pupils will have fun planting these with bulbs and flowers ready for spring.
