The Regional Learning and Skills Partnership (RLSP) recently brought together learners and leading employers for an inspiring Careers Fair at Olchfa School, designed to raise aspirations and showcase the exciting career opportunities available across the region.
Held on 7 May, the innovative event gave pupils the chance to engage directly with businesses from a wide range of sectors, exploring emerging industries, new technologies and future career pathways. Interactive exhibits and hands-on activities helped learners gain a real insight into the world of work while encouraging them to think ambitiously about their futures.
The event reflects the strength of Olchfa’s careers programme, recently recognised by Estyn, which highlighted that “a school-based careers fair for Year 10 includes input from local employers, the school’s alumni and universities.”
We would like to extend sincere thanks to all businesses who supported the event and who have signed up to the Swansea Pledge, demonstrating their commitment to developing future talent and strengthening links between education and industry.
Participating organisations included Amcor, British Army, JCP Solicitors, Redkite, Tilbury Douglas, Willmott Dixon, Futurescape, DVLA, Gower College and Morganstone.
The event highlighted the power of collaboration in helping young people better understand the opportunities available within Swansea and the wider region.
