Welcome
Choosing what to study after leaving school is one of the most important decisions you will make. At Gower College Swansea, we take pride in our recognised strengths:
A wide range of courses to choose from
High-quality teaching and outstanding student outcomes
Comprehensive support to ensure every learner gets the help and guidance they need every step of the way.
Studying at a college offers significant benefits in terms of choice. We offer nearly 40 A Level subjects, 40 vocational subject choices at various levels, and numerous apprenticeship pathways.
Our award-winning College is renowned for its high-quality teaching and learning across Wales. We excel not only in A Levels, but also in vocational programmes, with our students’ achievements leading the sector.
We prioritise support, with over 50 full-time staff in non-teaching, student-facing roles, including pastoral coaches, student support officers, welfare advisers and wellbeing coordinators.
Over the years, we have built strong relationships with top UK universities and leading employers to create more opportunities for our students to progress to higher education, apprenticeships, or into the world of work.
Our GCS Honours programme is designed for students aiming to apply to top universities across the UK and beyond, including Russell Group universities. In 2024, ten of our A Level students were offered places at either Cambridge or Oxford University, a remarkable achievement.
Our vocational students have also excelled at Skills Competition Wales events, winning 21 medals in 2024 – 12 Gold, three Silver, and six Bronze. They continue to represent the College in European and WorldSkills events.
At Gower College Swansea, your future is guaranteed. Our goal is to help all our learners achieve their individual potential, providing ongoing support even after course completion.
We are always here to help you make these decisions, so please feel free to contact us.
