Young entrepreneurs from schools across Swansea put their business ideas into action during this year’s Swansea Schools Enterprise Challenge Day, transforming Swansea city centre into a bustling marketplace.
The annual event saw pupils showcase and sell a wide range of products they had designed, developed and marketed themselves after months of planning with the support of local businesses. Working alongside mentors from the business community, learners gained valuable insight into entrepreneurship, budgeting, marketing, customer service and teamwork before bringing their ideas to life at the city centre market.
This year’s challenge marked an exciting milestone, with secondary schools and Gower College Swansea taking part for the first time alongside primary schools. Their involvement added even more creativity and innovation to the event, highlighting the growing success of the Enterprise Challenge across Swansea.
Visitors to the market enjoyed browsing a variety of handmade crafts, games, food, gifts and sustainable products, while students experienced the excitement of running their own businesses and engaging with customers.
The Swansea Schools Enterprise Challenge continues to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs by giving young people practical business experience and helping them develop confidence, creativity and essential employability skills through real-world learning opportunities and strong partnerships with local businesses.
